All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon

Zaun supplied 3 special de-mountable tennis court surrounds for the All England Clubs site at Wimbledon. During the championships each year the fence is taken down to allow strawberries and cream to be sold on the area of the court. Special 'point contact' posts were designed that give a minimum contact with the post sockets to prevent corrosion and allow easy erection of the posts. The club are delighted with the result and see it as the way forward for future courts.

Alan Higgs Centre - Home of Coventry City FC's Soccer Academy

The Alan Higgs Centre is part of an £8 million centre that includes skate parks, leisure centre, sports centre and Coventry City Football Club's new Soccer Academy. Zaun supplied almost 1200m of its 2.4m high Duo6 Sports Fencing with a 630mm cranked extension and 300m of 3m high Duo8 Sports Fencing. The fencing was chosen to act as both a ball stop barrier and as a security fence for the site - the designers chose Zaun so that the public would have an unrestricted view of the soccer, but would not allow them easy access to the site.

Aston University Ball Stop Fencing

The University had just built a new X building and required a 5m high ball stop fence to stop balls from hitting the new building and pedestrians using a new path running adjacent. They chose Zauns Duo8 Sports Specification Fencing with a 1.2m high rebound board at the bottom. The university wanted the fencing to be unobtrusive, but yet they wanted the fencing to be a feature of the site. Thus Zaun designed some special end panels to rake the fencing gradually from 5m high down to 2.8m high.
