Zaun Hockey Fencing overcomes the problems related to wooden boards by eliminating them altogether! The Zaun system uses twin 8mm in a close 25x50mm mesh pattern to clad the lowest 210mm of the fence. This results in an extremely robust section of fence, which is able to withstand the cannonball like impacts that occur during a game of hockey, however for pitches that receive heavy use the body panel is available in a 100x50mm pattern this creates a strong panel in which the vertical wires are extremely resistant to impacts.

Small enough so balls dont escape

The Zaun Hockey system does not have the expense of wooden boards and the required fixings and so is less expensive than similar fencing using wooden boards.
A further advantage of the Zaun system is that it is quieter than a system using wooden boards. This is because vibrations dissipate rapidly throughout the panel, which is insulated from the posts using synthetic EPDM inserts. This reduction in noise is particularly important in areas where residents must be taken in to consideration. Noise during play can upset local residents, meaning that playing hours must be restricted, and in some cases can mean that planning permission may be withheld. The use of Zaun Hockey fencing may help planning applications go smoothly and keep the neighbours happy!
