 TURNKEY PERIMETER SOLUTIONS
Integrated solutions - It has become apparent that to protect a vulnerable site it takes more than a physical fencing solution.

On the back of recent project success, Zaun has developed partnerships with key product suppliers and systems integrators to ensure that our offer is of the highest calibre. Zaun’s integrated solutions can cover all the required elements in a comprehensive system, and products include:

Government approved fencing systems
CCTV
Impact rated barriers and blockers
Access Control
Intruder detection systems

Our integrated solution, which is part of a turnkey package, is project managed by our specialist design and installation teams.

1 MICROWAVE SENSORS
Microwave sensors are a method of detection for short-range applications.
The system generally consists of a transmitter, which is the source of
invisible beam emissions, and a receiver, which receives the beams,
analyses them, and detects walking or climbing intruders passing between
the two columns.
The emitted beam paths must be interrupted simultaneously for an alarm to
be generated, reducing nuisance alarms caused by small animals, birds, or
blowing debris.

2 FENCE DETECTION
Micro phonic cable solutions are generally mounted on the fence or structure
which detects any fence disturbance and locates the penetration to within
a few meters. This accuracy of location allows the microprocessor in the
system to analyse the signals produced from any attempt to cut or climb
the fence while ignoring signals produced from the environment such as
noise from wind, heavy rain and passing vehicles.

3 ELECTRIC FENCE
Electric fencing systems provide security and protection of the perimeter of
many of the country’s key infrastructure sites. The construction of the
electric fence system, when combined with a secure fencing system,
creates a very powerful psychological and physical barrier to overcome.

4 ACCESS CONTROL
Access control is a system which enables the owner to control access to
areas and resources in a facility. An access control system, within the field
of a security solution, is generally seen as the second layer in the security
of a physical structure, and is combined with access gates, barriers and
turnstiles to form a fully auditable solution.

5 BURIED FIBRE
Buried fibre based detection systems are made simply of a transmitter,
fibre cable, a detector and signal processor to sense deflection in the
buried fibre cable to raise an alarm. Any attempted attack that would cause
the signal to deflect within the fibre would generate an alarm.

6 GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE (GUI)
A graphical user interface (GUI) is a comprehensive control facility.
Simple to use, it has the ability to interact with a wide range of different
manufacturers’ control equipment including; Intruder, Perimeter, Fire,
Access, CCTV, Digital Recording, etc, to offer a complete site overview.
Access doors and gates can be opened from the terminal and alarms and
CCTV cameras can be interrogated for evidence. A very powerful tool to
bring the whole site security together into one system.

7 TAUT WIRE
Taut wire sensors are a very efficient sensor. Generally the system is based
on a Sensor post designed for a single horizontal wire or multiple wires
forming a fence. Looking very similar to an electric fence there is also the
psychological barrier to breach. The sensor’s detection range is roughly
100m and any deflections in the wires will cause an alarm event, as would
cutting and short to ground.

8 CCTV
CCTV is often used for surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such
as secure perimeters, airports, military installations and key infrastructure.
CCTV systems may operate continuously or only as required to monitor
particular times of a day or actions. A more complex system can be
designed, utilising DVRs to continually record and capture images. It is
possible for the DVR device to provide recording and storage capability for
many years. When integrated with a GUI, this recorded footage can be
played back to a specific moment in time to view the event as it happened,
and can also be used as evidence in proceeding cases.

9 HVMIT (HOSTILE VEHICLE MITIGATION)
Along with standard gates, barriers and blockers, HVMIT products are
available which have been tested and approved to the CPNI PAS68
standard. These products are specifically designed and installed to
withstand a variety of vehicle borne attack. As founder members of the
PSSA (perimeter security suppliers association), Zaun is committed to
providing an approved system into any of our perimeter security schemes
where required.
