A range of SR2 Rated Gates, manufactured specifically with security in mind. Our security rated gates have been tested and approved to LPS 1175 SR2 under Issue 7 and B3 under Issue 8 by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). This testing process entered our products into The RED BOOK.
SR2 (B3) Rated Gates is designed to be suitable for pedestrian or vehicle access. The perfect accompaniment to our HiSec Super SR2 Rated Fencing solutions. Each gate is supplied with HiSec SR2 welded mesh infills. Mesh panels are clad to the attack side of a steel 50mm x 50mm SHS frame. All pedestrian gates are supplied as standard at 1.2m wide, although other widths and double leaf options are also available upon request.
All products, also rigorously tested for resistance to deliberate attack and play an important role in protecting people and property against physical attack, burglary, vandalism and terrorism. Our SR2 rated gates LPS 1175 approval specifically covers the approval and listing of intruder resistant building components, strong points, security enclosures and free-standing barriers.
Each of our security rated gates is also designed with a clamp bar at the side of the gate post. Included with through bolts and stainless steel fixings. An additional sheath, added to the slide latch locking system to provide the gate with additional protection against potential attacks. All of our SR2 rated gates are supplied with an SR-rated padlock as standard and can be supplied in your RAL colour choice.
All gates above 1.8m in height are supplied three safety points, either supplied with three hinges and/or supplied with gate arrestor cables. This means that if any of the hinge points fail, then the gate will not fail and cause harm to pedestrians and property. The gate is designed to in a way to prevent the leaf from being lifted away from the gate post, making it difficult to vandalise or damage. At Zaun, we believe that if a gate is big enough to present a real risk of crushing, then the failure of one component should not allow it to fall.
Pedestrian swing gates are manufactured to comply with BS 1722 Part 14: 2017 and supplied with a slide latch locking mechanism, but may also be designed with closers or your choice of lock, from a euro cylinder lock to electronic locks. Pedestrian swing gates may also be manufactured to suit automation.
Each gate can also be supplied with a range of topping options to provide additional security. Zaun can also provide an additional mesh over panel to encase the gate within the fence line.
All versions of our SR1 rated gates are also supplied with an SR-rated padlock as standard.
Finish
All Zaun posts/panels/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.

What is LPS 1175 for SR2 Rated Gates?
LPS 1175 is the requirements and testing procedures for the LPCB approval. A listing of intruder resistant building components, strong points, security enclosures, and free-standing barriers, fencing, and gates. LPS 1175 covers the broadest scope of physical security products and services of any publicly available standard globally. LPS 1175 results from many years of work by LPCB, the UK Government, Insurers, and the Police. It has rapidly become a core element of physical security specification across many sectors.
The standard comprises several security ratings with test requirements of ascending intensity. Measured in terms of attack tools and also time available to the attacker. This enables specifiers to select products according to the risks that they and their property face. LPS 1175 is used in a range of applications, from residential through to critical infrastructure projects.
