Perimeter systems manufacturer Zaun has promoted one of its long-standing technicians to the role of shop floor supervisor.
Carl Morgan has been with the company for years as an operator running the IDL machine manufacturing Duo and HiSec fencing.
He has now risen to the role of supervisor in Zaun’s mesh factory, the Paul Holloway Manufacturing Facility, acting as the link between production manager Chris Rowen and the shop floor.
Morgan is responsible for health & safety in the factory, shift patterns, materials requirements and efficient production scheduling, meaning he assigns tasks and distributes manufacturing priorities to minimise changeover times and maximise productivity.
He also oversees quality, training and the control and issue of protective clothing and equipment.
Rowen said: ‘Carl has always been a hard worker since he joined Zaun and has demonstrated reliability and initiative that has allowed him to grow into this role of greater responsibility.’
