Today Zaun deliver 3000 face shields to the NHS’s Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group.
We are pleased to make this small contribution to help the NHS as they fight to help those affected by COVID-19. Even better is that these masks are the second batch of many produced by local business Thomas Dudley Ltd, a shining example of local SMEs answering the nation’s call for help.
Thomas Dudley is renowned for its iron castings and plastic components for sanitary ware, not PPE. Still, they are a business that has invested heavily for the future in the latest development and production equipment for injection moulding. It is that investment that has enabled them in a quick form to manufacture tooling and start producing much-needed face shields. I’m proud to know Thomas Dudley and proud of UK manufacturing.
Let’s not forget that investment and manufacturing are vital and not just manufacturing high tech but also of the more mundane like toilet cisterns and, dare I say, fencing. The UK needs manufacturing.
Zaun are proud to have teamed up with the local businesses to help out in any way we can to hopefully get through to the other side of this pandemic.
