High-security fencing experts Binns and Zaun have announced a new collaboration to offer Perimeter Security Suppliers Association (PSSA) verified products and installation.
They made the announcement today on a shared stand at the annual UK Government security show Security & Policing at the FIVE venues in Farnborough, the UK’s only secure event for police, law enforcement, and security professionals tasked with security civil protection and national resilience.
The combined PSSA verified product and installation is a unique offer, with Binns being an approved PSSA installer and Zaun boasting ArmaWeave and other PSSA approved products.
Beyond this, Binns and Zaun are looking to work together on high-security applications to offer clients joined-up manufacturing and installation service of the highest quality with NOMS-approved prison mesh and the ability to manufacture gates and posts, as is the case with the new £250m super-prison currently being built at Wrexham and due to open in 2017.
Binns owner Adam Binns, the grandson of founder John Binns, said at the show today: ‘We have worked alongside each other on several prisons and other high-security jobs over the years, and this collaboration seemed the natural next step.’
Zaun co-founder and director Alastair Henman added: ‘With more and more clients asking for integration of both physical and electronic security solutions, the tie-up with Binns will enhance the range of systems we can integrate.’
Binns specialises in the prisons, utilities, constructions, local authority and physical security sectors and is renowned for its Flexible Security Topping, a registered design currently the most secure topping system on the market.
Zaun manufactures an extensive range of temporary, PAS68 and permanent high-security perimeter protection systems at its UK factories. In addition, it integrates with CCTV and PID systems in the UK and regional offices in France and Dubai.
Over 350 companies are exhibiting at Security & Policing, showcasing world-leading technologies, products and solutions to police services, government departments, organisations and agencies from the UK and overseas.
Its global influence and 30-year heritage have made the event a cornerstone of the security calendar, bringing together international professionals and experts from the Government, law enforcement, police services, CNI and Industry in a crucible of shared knowledge and experience.
