Zaun’s Cranked Fence Toppings are designed to crank internally or externally to provide additional protection to your premises or ball courts. The external crank is ideal to ensure that people cannot climb the mesh to gain access to your site and the internal crank is ideal for ball courts to increase ball retention.
Along with the cranked panel, the posts can also be cranked for extra strength providing a strong perimeter for sports or security applications. Each cranked topping can be designed to match the mesh fencing and provides an aesthetically pleasing deterrent to your perimeter.
Internal and external Cranked corners are also available, leaving a smart and attractive finish to complement and complete your perimeter.
Cranked posts and panels are available on most of our fencing systems, including HiSec, HiSec Super 6, HiSec SR2, DualGuard, Duo 6, Duo 8, Duo Sports, Super Rebound and a wide range of other mesh fences for both Sports and Security applications.
Cranked fence toppings are also commonly used in Zoos and wildlife parks to protect animals in an animal enclosure. The internal crank prevents any animal from being able to scale the fence and climb over.
Posts & Fixings
The cranked fence topping system features a post and clip or clamp bar configuration, providing a simple and easy installation method. Supplied through bolts or vandal-proof security fixings depending on the mesh chosen and installed using either power or hand tools.
Finish
All Zaun posts/panels/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.
Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.
