Zaun’s solid vertical bar railing systems are designed to suit various perimeter and boundary situations. Ideal for use in settings that require a traditional, long-lasting boundary fence system.
Other heights are available upon request, typically available in heights up to 2.0m. Solid bars and are well suited to areas where appearance is a priority, providing flexibility to supply a wide range of toppings and finials to enhance further the system—available using round or square bars. Bar size increases with the height of the fence to comply with BS 1722 Part 9.
Finish
Hot-dip galvanised to ISO1461 & optional polyester powder coated, after stringent cleaning & treatment to give a well-adhered coating with a minimum of 60 microns.
All Zaun posts/panels/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.
Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments. For a full list of colours, click here
Vertical Bar Railing Posts & Fixings
The Vertical Bar railing system features a post and stepping cleat configuration, providing a simple and easy installation method. Supplied with Cup Square Bolts & Shear Nuts and installed using either power or hand tools.
Vertical Bar Railings Installed on Sloping Ground
Panels can be stepped as required on the post. For steeper gradients, it is recommended that the stepping cleats are adjusted to suit the gradient as required. Panels can also be sloped to the following gradients, within the tolerance of the post section:
0 to 16mm / 56mm / 56 to 72mm
Metal Railing Variations
Posts are available in different lengths to accommodate panel heights and ground conditions. Additional variations are also available: Wall fixing, cranked posts or base plated. Bespoke panels can be manufactured to be raked and radiused. Available with a wide range of finial options.
Railing Gates
Pedestrian gates are single leaf 1.2m wide (or width to suit), framed in a 50mm x 50mm RHS with vertical bars welded within the gate frame, with slide latch and slow closer. Gate supplied with 2 x suitable gate posts.
Vehicle access gates are double leaf (single leaf vehicle gates available) 3.0m wide (or width to suit), framed in 50mm x 50mm RHS, with vertical bars welded within the gate frame, with drop bolts and slide latch. Gate supplied with 2 x suitable gate posts.
