Zaun joins premier architects’ product selector


Zaun has taken a listing in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) building products library for construction industry professionals.

And to coincide with that, Zaun has introduced a specifier zone on its own website that allows architects and other specifiers to download drawings, datasheets and Q40 specifications. Zaun’s RIBA Fencing is available across our website with downloads designed to help specifiers find the right tools to enable them to select the correct fencing for your site.

The RIBA Product Selector publication of construction product manufacturers and advisory organisations used by architects and other construction industry professionals to specify building products.

It prides itself on being the essential resource for up to date building product information, including company details, product catalogues, technical pages and Agreement certificates.

The RIBA was established in 1834 to enhance the civil architecture and promote and facilitate the acquirement of knowledge.

Today, it upholds the study and practice of architecture, improving the built environment and maintaining standards in architecture through its members and the wider community, and provides the training, support and recognition that enable architects to reach the top of their profession.

Zaun is a designer and manufacturers of a wide range of fencing systems, from ROSPA compliant gates and fencing for schools and playgrounds to high-security NOMs and CPNI approved fencing and gates for prisons and high-security institutions. All Zaun fencing, gates and railings are manufactured in our purpose-built factory in Wolverhampton and meet the British standards for which the fencing was meant to be

Zaun Limited is the sole remaining manufacturer of welded and woven mesh fencing systems that manufactures the entire system in the UK.  Zaun makes the mesh, fencing panels, posts, clamp bars and fixings at its state-of-the-art five-acre production facility in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands.  Products have been tested and approved by testing organisations including CPNI, LPCB and Secured by Design.

Zaun works very closely with all stakeholders within the business including employees, local, national and international suppliers and a long-established customer base of fencing contractors to design, manufacture and supply high-quality fencing systems, increasingly often providing expertise in integrating PIDs and other systems into holistic security solutions.

Zaun was founded in 1996 and remains a private company solely owned by co-founder Alastair Henman with a regional office in Dubai.  They are certified to the ISO 9001 quality standard. It is also a member of the Perimeter Security Suppliers’ Association (PSSA), of which Alastair Henman is a director.
