Zaun has joined two further trade bodies to add to its membership of the Perimeter Security Suppliers’ Association, the Fencing Contractors’ Association, the Sports and Play Construction Association, the ethical supply chain initiative, Sedex, and the Made in Britain campaign.

Zaun has become an ADS member, the premier trade organisation advancing UK aerospace, defence, security and space industries globally, and the European Fencing Industry Association (EFIA).

ADS was formed from the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers, the Defence Manufacturers Association and the Society of British Aerospace Companies in October 2009. ADS also encompasses the British Aviation Group and Farnborough International Limited, which runs the Farnborough International Airshow. Together with its regional partners, ADS represents over 2,600 companies.

EFIA was established in 1982 as a not-for-profit trade association serving the needs of the fencing industry. Members include fencing product manufacturers, stockists, installers, and other individuals and organisations with a professional interest in the fencing industry.

It exists to promote safety, quality, and professionalism throughout the fencing industry, provide business opportunities, industry news and technical information to its members, encourage inter-member trading and collaboration, and raise the fencing industry’s profile and image.

Zaun has joined a number of trade bodies over the years, showing support to the industry.

About Zaun

Zaun Limited is the sole remaining manufacturer of welded and woven mesh fencing systems that manufactures the entire system in the UK.  Zaun makes the mesh, fencing panels, posts, clamp bars and fixings at its state-of-the-art five-acre production facility in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands.  Products have been tested and approved by testing organisations including CPNI, LPCB and Secured by Design.

Zaun works very closely with all stakeholders within the business including employees, local, national and international suppliers and a long-established customer base of fencing contractors to design, manufacture and supply high-quality fencing systems, increasingly often providing expertise in integrating PIDs and other systems into holistic security solutions.

Zaun was founded in 1996 and remains a private company solely owned by co-founder Alastair Henman with a regional office in Dubai.  It manufactures to ISO 9001 standards. It is also a member of the Perimeter Security Suppliers’ Association (PSSA), of which Alastair Henman is a director.

Zaun is a proud British manufacturer and founder member of the Made in Britain campaign, a key player in the UK fencing market and one of the fastest-growing companies in an increasingly competitive industry.
