Who Are CPNI?
CPNI (Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure) is the government authority for protective security advice to the UK national infrastructure. Their role is to protect national security by helping to reduce the vulnerability of the national infrastructure to terrorism and other threats.
CPNI heavily promote the theory of deter and detect so that protective security is put in place, or built into the design, security measures or protocols to reduce the consequences of an attack.
CPNI advice on physical security, personnel security and cyber security/information assurance, they also explain how these components combine together and reinforce each other to protect assets.
